Welcome to Olympic Orchids Artisan Perfumes Olympic Orchids was established in 2010 as a line of handcrafted fragrances inspired by the incredible variety of scents produced by orchid flowers and created by Ellen Covey, owner of Olympic Orchids orchid nursery in the Pacific Northwest. The Olympic Orchids signature line is a series of scents inspired by different species of orchids, but now includes “Scents of Place”, a line of fragrances inspired by places the perfumer has lived or visited, and the “Perfumer’s Perfumes”, limited-edition luxury perfumes that range from classical in style to highly experimental. A line of 100% natural perfumes is under development. All scents are produced from the highest quality ingredients with a high percentage of essential oils, absolutes, tinctures, and other natural materials. All products are formulated to be on the high end of their concentration range. Pure perfume is 30-33% fragrance materials and eau de parfum is 15-20%. All of the spray bottles that I use are refillable, and packaging materials are biodegradable. ANNOUNCEMENTS

New releases: Our three new fragrances were officially launched at the Seattle Artisan Fragrance Salon on May 5, 2013, where Olympic Orchids won gold medals in every category. California Chocolate, Seattle Chocolate, and Tropic of Capricorn are now available here for purchase or sampling.

Special sale on old-style 5-ml sprays and testers: We have switched to new black bottles for all of the 5-ml travel size sprays, and are selling off the old-style gold and silver colored bottles at $10 each, $7.50 for testers. The testers are almost all gone, so what's left is all listed in one Special Sale category. The lists will continue to be updated frequently, but quantities are very limited, so it's possible that an item will sell out before it's removed from the list.

Third anniversary in July: It's hard to believe, but July will be the third anniversary of Olympic Orchids Artisan Perfumes! Many thanks to everyone who has helped this business get off the ground and become a success. It's a real pleasure to be able to make original fine fragrances that others can enjoy.

Northwest Indie Perfumers Circuit at Blackbird in Seattle on July 13: If you're in the Seattle area, there will be a gala party at Blackbird Apothecary in Ballard on Saturday, July 13, from 6:00-9:00 PM. It's free. Blackbird is located at 5410 22nd Ave NW, Seattle, WA, 98107. The event will celebrate our third anniversary as well as the launch of my new Blackbird fragrance. There will be drinks and snacks, door prizes, good company, and the opportunity to sample many fragrances from my line and the others that Blackbird carries.
